The Masque of Capitalism
09:12

As I walked on Broadway
As I walked on Pine
I met the man named Murder
Clad in blue suit and badge
Night-stick and gun he had at hand
In his reign of terror across the land
Next came Fraud, and he put on
The guise of a landlord, flipping flats
Inviting suburban colonizers
Don't shake his hand, he'll give you leeches
A moderate politician, perhaps a mayor
Speaks for the people but acts against them
In the pocket of NIMBYs and finance
This is the guise of Hypocrisy
And many more Destructions played
In this ghastly masquerade,
All disguised, even to the eyes
Like bishops, lawyers, peers, and spies
Last came Capitalism, he rode
On a pale horse, splashed with blood;
He was white even to the lips,
Like Death in the Apocalypse
And he wore a kingly crown;
And in his grasp a sceptre shone;
On his brow this mark I saw -
'I AM GOD, AND KING, AND LAW!'
With a pace stately and fast,
Over America he passed,
Trampling to a mire of blood
The adoring multitude.
And those that followed him
An army of zombies, all alike
Young men, in beards and flannel
Drunk as with intoxication
Of the beer of desolation
Like a pack of locusts

Lamia Frankenstein
06:34

At the gate
Between the woods and the town
At the borderline
Between light and darkness
At the margins
Of reality
So close to you, so close to human
But just a little too far
A monster to be hunted down
The torches and pitchforks
Of a narrow mind
Uphold your categories at all costs
So-called radicals want her head on a pike
But instead of killing her
They send her to the clinic
And the doctor says that she's a twisted man
Denies her food and dignity
Sells her to the circus
Let everyone have a look at the new freak
All her protestations silenced;
used as evidence of violence
They want to mandate her out of existence
But there's still their fascination
Fascination at the contradiction
And for her there's no shelter, no privacy, no dignity
Visibility is a trap
Did I request thee, Maker, from my clay
To mould me Man, did I solicit thee
From darkness to promote me?

Tranquilizer
03:05

Give me sleep, give me rest
Let me lay till I am dust
The best lack all conviction
The worst have passion and potence
Vote for me, I'll solve your problems
Eventually, someday, maybe
Kick the can down the road until you kick the bucket
Though not lacking in pomp and circumstance
For infinitesimally small action
Apathy in the face of destruction
Negotiation with fascists
Make us like everyone else
Make us like everyone else
So nothing will change
So nothing will change
A rolling stone gathers no moss.

The Abyss
05:43

The silence of a starless night
An abyss, hounding at my heels
All my words, desires, and dreams
Reduced by the wind to silent screams
The silence of a starless night
An abyss, hounding at my heels
All my words, desires, and dreams
Reduced by the wind to silent screams
The infinite black pit below calls for souls
We will fall but never land
We will fall but never land
What horrors does the maw harbor?
What nightmares does the chasm hold?
The infinite black pit below calls for souls
We will fall but never land
What horrors does the maw harbor?
What nightmares does the chasm hold?
We will fall but never land
Embrace nothingness
Embrace the void.
Embrace nothingness.
